August . . . it's time for the dog days of summer. School is right around the corner, vacations are coming to an end, and the weather is hot, hot, hot. At the Shoppes at Strasburg Centre Square, we like to think of August as a time for jubilation. Here are some of the reasons why:
With mouthwatering feature flavors like Key Lime Pie and Shoo Fly Pie (while supplies last), coupled with favorites like Oreo and Mint Chocolate Chip, the Creamery provides something for everyone. The Country Store is rolling out two new fudge flavors for the summer of 2013. There's Peanut Butter Fiesta, which contains marshmallows, brownie chunks and chocolate sprinkles, and Strasburg Rocky Road, made from double dark chocolate fudge swirled with marshmallows and almonds.
August is also a time for our Festival of Fridays, a celebration of live music and summer nights. Beginning with the Sentimentals, an acapello group from Solanco High School, a different artist will perform at the Shoppes at 7pm each Friday this month. The Creamery, Country Store, Winery, Bakery and Shops will be open late those nights for added fun.
And if you're from out of town, August is a great time to spend a few nights at the Village Inn. Our innkeeper Jody is a fully-functioning Strasburg concierge and a wealth of knowledge about the area. Spend some time with her and enjoy an insider's guide to Lancaster County, plus first-rate hospitality and the Inn's homey atmosphere.
We invite you to spend your dog days with us - you'll be happy you did!
