Fall Into Strasburg 2013
When Fall falls on Strasburg, the landscape changes completely. The fields change shape as the harvest takes place and the porches in town are festooned with pumpkins, mums and corn shocks. A walk down Main Street leads all sorts of activities this October. Here are just a few:
Saturday, October 5
Strasburg Fire Company Sale: This yearly event is the place to go for handmade quilts, antiques, crafts and food. Visit the Strasburg Fire Company website for more information.
Saturday, October 12
AutumnFest - our very own Fall Open House, featuring samples from the creamery, country store, winery and bakery, plus craft demonstrations and live music (10-5pm with music from 1-3pm)
Friday, October 18
Wesley United Methodist Pulled Pork Fundraiser - Pork BBQ sandwiches and meals to fund the mission team's Hurricane Sandy relief trip. Find more at the Wesley UM website.
Thursday, October 24
Halloween Parade - A Strasburg tradition!The parade starts at 7pm from the Jaycee park and runs past the Creamery benches. Many local organizations are represented, plus musical performances from the Lampeter-Strasburg marching bands.
Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26
Strasburg Haunted Pool - Strasburg's community pool will be transformed into a family-friendly frightfest for one weekend only. Get more information at the Strasburg Pool website.
The Shoppes - open seven days a week, the Shoppes at Strasburg Center Square are always a place to stop for your fall fix. We have fall ice cream flavors like Gingersnap, Candy Corn, Jack-o-Lantern, Spiced Apple, Pumpkin and more. We also carry pumpkin fudge and a variety of seasonal gifts.
