Through the Strasburg Creamery, up two steps and into our old fashioned candy kitchen, lies the Strasburg Country Store with all the warmth and nostalgia of an original country store. Built of brick in 1788, it has served as a tavern, general store, borough meeting place and pharmacy. In 1984, it was restored to its present condition with an old post office section, antique tins, coffee grinder, and memorabilia from a nearby 1851 general store. Shelving and hand carved counters representing an era of fine cabinetry came from the Ketner Store in Deer Lake, Pa.
